NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR SYSTEM OPERATOR
San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc., located at 3625 US Hwy 160 W, Monte Vista, Colorado currently has an open position for a System Operator. Work hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., forty hours/week plus additional time as duties require. Duties are primarily performed indoors, and rotational standby coverage is required. Responsible for two-way radio communications with field personnel, prepares and executes electric system switching orders, extensive use of SCADA, real time meter data, vehicle tracking, power outage management software and digital mapping system. Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) associate’s degree, or journeyman lineman certification, or submit to taking the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) System Operator/Power Dispatcher (SOPD) pre-employment test.
